Annaberg, Lungötz, St.Martin, Obertraun, Abtenau, Postalm
and Bad Ischl, there is fun for families, beginners through
to the most experienced skier. These resorts all make up the

The main area between Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg is a perfect
family ski area in the heart of Austria. It has a network
of 45 lifts and cable cars as well as 140 snow assured kilometres
of descents passing through some of the world’s most
beautiful scenery. With its wide pistes, excellent ski schools
and its easy accessibility it is easy to see why it has long
been a favourite ski area of the Austrians.

Although the Krippenstein is a world renowned area for free
riding, it does now have a newly opened beginners slope
at the base of the mountain. You shouldn’t be put
off skiing here as it has some of the most spectacular scenery
anywhere in this area. At the top of the mountain there
is a 3 km blue run and the 11 km descent is the longest
in Austria. The view from the cable car is worth the trip
alone!

We are 20 minutes by car from Gosau and
a good starting point for your days skiing. The immediate
area is a fantastic family skiing area with great ski schools
and plenty of variation for all levels of skiing. There
are rarely any queues and plenty of huts for those all important
refreshment stops!!

Russbach – kids Ski school & day care facilities
This is where Russbach shows its child-friendly
side. Then new Bear Camp and Sparrow's Nest children's Club
offer great attractions as well as free practice ski lifts
and fun and games in the snow!
All snow bears meet in the . The practice lifts, fun figures, and conveyor
belt are all centrally situated in the valley area. No long
journey times or lifts separate the kids from their first
attempts on their skis. The lifts are free for all children
under the age of 6 years. A very friendly team of qualified
ski instructors ensure quick success for your children’s
first attempts at skiing.
The Sparrow's Nest (from 1 year) celebrates its 5th birthday
this year and has moved next to the Bear Camp!
As not all young children want to spend all day on the slopes
children aged 3-5 years can transfer to the cosy indoor
life of the Rußbach "Sparrow's Nest". Here
the youngsters can have something to eat and drink and of
course there are lots of toys to keep them happy. Trained
teaching staff ensures fun and games for the children.
This means that you can be happy knowing that your children
are being well cared for, whether skiing or playing, allowing
you to enjoy your days skiing.
